other gpr s?

[edit]

There seems to have been at least one other Great Post Road - between Moscow and Irkutsk.Kdammers (talk) 10:10, 17 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

And possible even more. I am about to merge this article into North Coast Road (Java), so the best way to deal with the existence of more than one such road would be to create a disambig page after the merger. Davidelit (talk) 13:10, 17 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Articles separated, merger undone

[edit]

I concur with separation idea and totally against merger. The Great Post Road is not identical with today North Coast Road (Java), The Great Post Road (De Groote Postweg) have historical nouance and significance and extend from Anyer-Panarukan through Priangan (Preanger) highland (Buitenzorg, Cianjur, Bandung, Sumedang), while present Pantura (North Coast road) span from Merak to Banyuwangi via northern West Java (Bekasi, Karawang, Cikampek, Pamanukan), and it also consists of modern toll highways. It is a different entity. I suggest to split this two entity (Gunkarta (talk) 14:23, 14 November 2010 (UTC)).[reply]
