AfD discussion[edit]

164.67.144.51 00:34, 6 January 2006 (UTC) This article has no merit beyond self-promotion. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 164.67.144.51 (talkcontribs) [reply]

Well, she's been on NPR recently to discuss "blogger ethics," and also appeared in Glamour magazine. I think she qualifies as a legitimate public figure. I would like to see more background information on her though, and maybe some external links to interviews, etc. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 129.186.5.13 (talkcontribs)
Ohhhhh. Well. That means everything. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.47.15.38 (talkcontribs)
This woman is a lamo - she is no more public than Alex Golian. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 58.104.229.138 (talkcontribs)

Interesting that Heather is a 'stay at home mom' while Jon is a 'freelance web designer'. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.197.170.2 (talkcontribs)

Agreed, and I changed this on the main page. Consider also that she is best known as a blogger, not a SAHM. Saranary 19:24, 29 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. Seriously, what does she do? She got canned from her job ages ago and everyone was shocked. Oh the horror. Oh my god how could they. So she stayed at home and popped out a kid. She's invited to every friggen conference, exhaulted upon high as the BEST WRITER EVER (although I've seen blogs equal or better and no one is giving them handouts), and now her husband sits on his duff and designs. Fine. At least he has a job. She blogs all day and gets earnings from her blog ads. Big wooptidee-doooo.

People seriously need to get over her. And why did Glamour interview her recently? She got canned years ago. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.47.15.38 (talkcontribs)

I seem to recall that it was about her experience with postpartum depression. Saranary 19:24, 29 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • For what it's worth, you guys should consider signing your posts. Just put four tildes (~~~~) at the end of your comments. FYI, if you think this article doesn't belong, that's what the AfD process is for, but I strongly suspect it would survive. Fluit 21:23, 10 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This is trivia, and nothing else. The person is not noteworthy and was just another social media person on the web.HammerFilmFan (talk) 11:14, 11 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Wow ... more proof that no discussion on Wikipedia is too old for someone not to think of reviving it. Seventeen years and a day ... just wow!
As far as notability goes, I think when The Washington Post runs your obit, that argument is moot. Daniel Case (talk) 02:19, 12 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Possible death[edit]

Instagram is not a reliable source to change article to say Armstrong is dead. The single news story so far[[1]] only reports what is being said online and says this has not been confirmed by any member of her family or friends. Wait for a reliable source to published a confirmed story. Schazjmd (talk) 16:23, 10 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Daily Mail has now picked up the story, however it is not a reliable source either (and story seems to be based solely on the instagram post). Schazjmd (talk) 16:56, 10 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Associated Press story with confirmation from her partner. 73.63.155.159 (talk) 17:56, 10 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
FYI, it wasn't just "Instagram" I referred to, but it was dooce's actual account, where her boyfriend posted the note about her passing. Glad it's now been confirmed to one editor's satisfaction. Daveicd (talk) 20:27, 10 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
