Info being removed

[edit]

An IP user is deleting sourced information claiming it is campaign information. The history of how she got elected and who supported her is absolutely relevant. Pennsylvania2 (talk) 17:30, 29 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

User Pennsylvania2 is reverting changes wholesale without regard to fact, sourcing or editorializing. The district the Councilwoman represents does not include Plum Beach, Marine Park, or Gerritsen Beach as they are part of district 46, not 48. My edits are sourced and reversions return for factually incorrect, unsourced edits. Likewise there is editorialized language, such as "successful" attorney. Most elements are self-reported from her professional website and are not up to Wikipedia's standards for citations. One citation is blatantly false attributing it to Voice of America when in fact is it sourced from incoherent blogspam "newsreadonline.com". Much of it is campaign positions which are self-reported, not factual matters related to her career. This is not a campaign website and these edits are not proper and do not belong under sections related to her tenure in the City Council. Other edits are duplicative, such as stating that she is a member of the Republican Party as it is already present in the infobox. 68.199.8.156 (talk) 18:21, 29 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Feel free to remove terms such as "successful attorney." With that said, removing info on endorsements from Chaim Deutsch or her platform make zero sense, especially when from sources like JNS or NYT.Pennsylvania2 (talk) 21:33, 29 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

NY Post

[edit]

Per the relevant RFC, the general consensus is that the NY Post is generally unreliable for factual reporting especially with regard to politics, particularly NYC politics.
