Congressional candidacy infobox problems

[edit]

I've tried to add the following text to the infobox, but it puts the opponent and incumbent under the state assembly section rather than the upcoming election section. Anybody know how to make it work correctly? ~ ωαdεstεr16«talkstalk» 13:48, 19 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

|candidate = New York's 20th congressional district
|party_election = Republican
|election_date = 2009-03-31
|opponent = Scott Murphy
|incumbent = Vacant (formerly Kirsten Gillibrand)

article in general

[edit]

I reorganized it, moved it to Jim Tedisco from James Tedisco, removed plagarism, and also tried to remove some of the bias. The anti Spitzer stuff seems a bit unnecessary, but I cleaned it up an left it. Austin512 (talk) 04:40, 1 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Headshot

[edit]
Crop #1
Crop #2
Crop #3

There seem to be a bunch of crops of File:James Tedisco.jpg going around. This is unnecessary. Shown to the right are those images. I replaced them with this (crop #1) and hope we can agree to stick with one. If there are no objections, I'm going to request the deletion of #2 and #3 over at Commons. Please post comments below. ~ ωαdεstεr16«talkstalk» 18:55, 6 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, I think we should go with #1 (I didn't see #1 or #3 when I made #2.) Austin512 (talk) 19:40, 6 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Finish Updating...

[edit]

Tedisco was more or less forced out of office given his higher aspirations and unpopularity within the Assembly. A vote of no confidence could've even happened.[1] That reference has all you need to get started on Updating the article and the infobox needs work too. -Alan 24.184.184.130 (talk) 00:00, 8 April 2009 (UTC)

Cali biased to one side...never heard of him before here but seems odd that there is so much updating toward his agenda???

Revisions

[edit]

I made some significant revisions. I also removed a 2017 tag saying that the article was written like an advertisement; I believe I fixed the problem. I added some tags where citations are still needed, but I think the article is in much better shape than it was. SunCrow (talk) 07:13, 18 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Just added some material from the Eliot Spitzer page; forgot to include that in the edit summary. Please see that page's history for attribution. SunCrow (talk) 19:24, 24 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
