The subject of the article has repeatedly contacted me stating that the removed information is incorrect. Fox Sports has taken the page down, and the photos in the article and here don't look like the same person. We can't leave incorrect information in the article if it's doing real-world harm to the subject. Please leave the data out unless you can find an alternative source that verifies it is true. -- Diannaa (talk) 12:26, 24 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The photo in the article looks exactly like Jamie Maclaren. There is only one player called Jamie Maclaren at Perth Glory. Sources that show he played in the npl for Perth Glory: [1], [2], [3], [4]. Where is the doubt?? Simione001 (talk) 12:41, 24 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for posting these additional sources. Now I have something I can point at if the person returns to my talk. -- Diannaa (talk) 12:47, 24 June 2015 (UTC) But maybe you could explain to me why the info box says "Perth Glory Youth" when the source says "National Premier League". I don't know much about the sport, only got involved because of the apparent vandalism. -- Diannaa (talk) 12:51, 24 June 2015 (UTC) I've gone ahead and changed it to the correct league. -- Diannaa (talk) 13:01, 24 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, please do not be bullied by this user claiming to be the player or manager of the real life person this article is pertaining to. This person has also attemptted to bully me into changing the article over the past few months, just look atmy user talk page and history. Your above concern has already been discussed on wikipedia here: [5]. If you will please have a read of that and I will go ahead and insert the word Youth again. There must be a way to distinguish between the two in the infobox because the two sides are playing in different leagues. There is also some info here [6] talking about this subject. Thanks for the additional information. If/when the person returns to my talk page, I can now point them to this talk page and suggest that they read through the material at your two links. The second one is especially enlightening. -- Diannaa (talk) 22:46, 24 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Melbourne City Section (Poorly Sourced)

[edit]

The Melbourne City section of the Jamie Maclaren Wikipedia page provides two poorly sourced pieces of information. Please find these necessary sources to back up when Maclaren was signed for Melbourne City and that he scored on his debut. Intentionally or not, the author of this section does not abide by the Biographies of living persons policy as they have not sourced their information. Thus, please attempt to warn the correct user and find correct sources to back his unproven information. Thanks, --Tottenham7 (talk) 07:09, 24 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

“British Australian”

[edit]

Is this really needed? He was born in Australia, represented Australia, played in Australia. There is no need to specify that he’s a British Australian in the beginning. In the personal life section yes. 2407:E400:D004:BA01:18A3:6E67:7F83:4341 (talk) 01:56, 28 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
