Do we really need a section for sources here?

[edit]

Hello @AukusRuckus: Thanks for your recent help in formatting some sources anf other stuff. But I don't understand why you added a section on Sources, as the only title you wrote here is already in the list of the Works, and it is not the only source. So I have reverted this section Sources and incorporated your template in the list of works. Munfarid1 (talk) 11:49, 28 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed, @Munfarid1: I thought I was going to have more cites with varied page numbers. At some point I lost the will to live concentration to keep going and thought I'd revisit later. Also, had not realised the {sfn} style would work without a separate sources section. (Still learning!) I think your version is much more sensible.
Thank you, Munfarid1 (and I really, genuinely, mean "thanks") for asking. I really appreciate the considerate way you approached my less than ideal change. AukusRuckus (talk) 12:24, 28 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, @AukusRuckus: It is me who says thanks, as I now understand your intention about the varied page numbers and section for sources. I very much appreciate your interest in this article and your friendly comment. And I am still learning, too. :) Munfarid1 (talk) 12:34, 28 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
You are very welcome, if any of my small changes are useful. :) I first came to the page to fix a duplicate reference. Reading the article made me very curious, though; I had not come across M. Besancenot or his work before: a very artistic person engaged in ethnographic work. That is one of the reasons I like to edit WP: You can learn about so many things you may not have otherwise encountered. I am going to try find a copy of Costumes du Maroc.
