An image in this article, File:Jesse cornplanter.jpg, also appears as Kidd Smith, Seneca carver.... The sources of these files contradict each other. There is another image Jesse Cornplanter ... making a ceremonial mask ... (1940), are these different people? cygnis insignis 06:51, 10 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

A similar request was made at Commons, and answered here. cygnis insignis 14:25, 10 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I received an email back from NARA today, verifying that the "Selected List" is in error, and File:Jesse cornplanter.jpg is misidentified. The image here, now, is indeed Jessee Cornplanter. They were apparently aware of the error, but waiting for the 'web people' to fix it. I will resolve the issue on Commmons. Reventtalk 22:25, 10 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Possible unknown sister to Jesse: "Martha"

[edit]

Found in Manuscript Collections 2B Carl A. Kroch Library Cornell University, Ithaca, NY. Summary of letter: "Jesse Cornplanter to Joseph Keppler Saying he will meet Keppler at the train on December 24th; that his little sister Martha is so pleased at his coming visit..."

Unfortunately not enough information to verify relationship (blood sister or tribal sister). Ward20 (talk) 08:07, 28 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Another source indicating he may have had 4 sisters that died in the 1918 epidemic.[1] Ward20 (talk) 18:51, 1 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
