Norvell not in attendance at the Convention of Assent[edit]

See this: RedJ 17 (talk)--and the convention was in Ann Arbor, not Detroit. 19:50, 21 February 2013 (UTC)

That convention in 1836 is the one which assented to the demands of Congress to give up claim to the Toledo Strip in exchange for statehood and a large portion of the upper peninsula. The constitution was drafted and adopted by the state in 1835. Here is source supporting his attendance at the 1835 constitutional convention. olderwiser 20:42, 21 February 2013 (UTC)
Ah, I see the confusion now. The article also mentioned a convention in 1837 -- which I can find no reference for. olderwiser 20:58, 21 February 2013 (UTC)
