How is the 50th President of Peru succeeded by the 33rd President of Peru?

José Luis Bustamante y Rivero is described as the 33rd President of Peru from 1945 to 1948. His predecessor, Manuel Prado Ugarteche is described as the 50th President from 1939 to 1945. Can someone explain this?--Jeff (talk) 08:10, 12 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
