Change name back to Rajkeswur Purryag!

[edit]

Guys, would someone change the title of the article back to Rajkeswur Purryag? That's how he seems to be referred to

- on Mauritius government portal: http://www.gov.mu/portal/site/Mainhomepage/menuitem.a42b24128104d9845dabddd154508a0c/?content_id=7655d575d1a88010VgnVCM100000ca6a12acRCRD

- on the BBC: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-africa-13882235

- and on other pages just to give a few examples: http://www.brecorder.com/general-news/172/1219693/ http://af.reuters.com/article/worldNews/idAFBRE86J0U720120720 http://www.apkn.org/apex/country-folders/mauritius/address-book/rajkeswur-purryag http://cpaafricaregion.org/directory/hon-rajkeswur-purryag-gosk-mp http://www.gov.mu/portal/goc/assemblysite/file/speech_pre_india_26apr11.pdf

An advanced Google search, English results only also puts them about even. Do we need an admin to move back? "Rajkeswur Purryag" and "Kailash Purryag". Therequiembellishere (talk) 21:49, 22 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, despite he is widely known as Kailash Purryag in Mauritius, his official name is Rajkeswur Purryag, the name of the article must rather be the official name. This can only be done by an admin as the page Rajkeswur Purryag has already been use as a redirect to this page. Kingroyos (talk) 19:13, 27 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I was wrong, the title is ok as it is, Wikipedia does not necessarily use the subject's "official" name as an article title; it prefers to use the name that is most frequently used to refer to the subject in English-language reliable sources (see WP:COMMONNAME).Kingroyos (talk) 20:17, 31 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
