I found this great 3-part interview of the author where he talks a lot about his influences, process, and public reaction to his work.

There's also a short introduction video for the site which seems to have been for a full interview, but unfortunately the website is down and it's robots.txt refused archiving by the wayback machine. Opencooper (talk) 22:40, 29 April 2015 (UTC)
