File:Mirallas pao-osfp.JPG Nominated for speedy Deletion

[edit]

An image used in this article, File:Mirallas pao-osfp.JPG, has been nominated for speedy deletion for the following reason: All Wikipedia files with unknown copyright status

What should I do?

Don't panic; you should have time to contest the deletion (although please review deletion guidelines before doing so). The best way to contest this form of deletion is by posting on the image talk page.

  • If the image is non-free then you may need to provide a fair use rationale
  • If the image isn't freely licensed and there is no fair use rationale, then it cannot be uploaded or used.
  • If the image has already been deleted you may want to try Deletion Review

Everton goals 2013–14

[edit]

Mirallas' Everton FC profile gives him 9 PL goals for the 2013–14 season – one more than stats databases Soccerbase and Soccerway and one more than the Premier League website.

The discrepancy stems from the 19 October 2013 fixture against Hull City which Everton won 2–1. The opening goal was originally credited to Mirallas – see e.g. Liverpool Echo – but the Dubious Goals Panel gave it to Barry. On the Everton website, the written match report gives the goal to Mirallas, but the banner at the top names both Barry and Mirallas as scorer of the first goal.

Barry's EFC profile for that season gives him 3 PL goals, which is the same as the Premier League, Soccerbase and Soccerway. It looks like whoever does the stats on the EFC site have added that goal to Barry's record but haven't managed to subtract it from Mirallas', so they're counting it twice.

Which means the correct figure for 2013–14 is 8 rather than 9. cheers, Struway2 (talk) 07:58, 14 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
