Coldest Record

I am not sure, but the news here in Fort Lauderdale said that Key West's coldest record (from 1895, according to the news; here it says 1896) was matched or broken two days ago (for me writing this) on Dec 14, 2010 at 41 or 42 F. Can a person knowledgeable to meteorology or Key West please review and update. Thanks 98.64.228.225 (talk) 23:18, 16 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Structure

The structure of this article is utterly illogical. 1) The sections 11 See also, 12 Notes, 13 References, and 14 External links, occur in the middle of the article; though there are also references and external links at the end. 2) The section Notable residences is duplicated.109.149.208.151 (talk) 17:15, 28 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Someone was not being careful when they added some section includes from the Key West, Florida article. Net result was (nearly) the entire article being included inline within this one. I've fixed it. Jelloman (talk) 01:29, 21 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed Merger

Area of the island? The city?

Any definitive sources for the area of the island and/or the city?

This source (Census.gov) says the city has a land area of 5.600 sq mi and and a water area of 1.643 sq mi.
This source says the island is 3,370 acres (5.27 sq mi)
This source says the island has an area of 4.2 sq mi and the city an area of 5.79 sq mi
