I don't see why people keep changing it to a passive intro.. when you write about fiction it is always as if it is still hapenning. "Darth Vader IS Luke's Father.. not WAS." So, the intro should remain "Kill Gil: Vols. 1 & 2" IS the ninth episode of The Simpsons' eighteenth season that aired on December 17, 2006. It IS the ninth Christmas-themed Simpsons episode." Plus, for consistency, all the other simpsons wikipedia articles introduce it like that. atom of consumption 23:07, 18 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

As it will carry on being aired, as with all of them, then yes, it should be "is". Gran2 17:14, 23 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Calm down dear. Nobody is trying to change the intro to the 'passive'. You've confused the terms 'past tense' and the 'passive voice''. Let me show you...
PAST TENSE: Darth Vader was Luke's father.
PASSIVE VOICE: Luke was fathered by Darth Vader.
Make sense? --Blake the bookbinder (talk) 15:19, 18 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Where did you find this upcoming episode? I can't find it anywhere else.

It's on http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UXBdnMotJu0&mode=related&search=

Your mom told me about it

Can I get a real answer, please, or this will have to be deleted

Hour Long Episode?

[edit]

Could this possibly be an hour-long episode? Sillygostly 02:42, 5 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No. It is merely a parody of Kill Bill in how it was originally supposed to be one movie, but was split up into two. The parody only extends to the title. It is one half hour episode. Not two, and not a one hour episode. -- Scorpion0422 02:50, 5 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

So... are the simpsons living in a new house now or what? Anyone know?

Guess not, everything always revert back to normal. WP 01:05, 19 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Voices Changing?

[edit]

Whats with all the voices changing? First Otto's voice is significantly lower, and now Gil's voice is higher and less raspy. Is it a new voice actor or did he just forget Gil's voice? Crazydog115 08:22, 18 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Or maybe the voice actor can't sustain the Gil voice for more than a few lines. Given how much this episode sucked, neither can the writers. Zing! Cromulent Kwyjibo 16:19, 19 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Nah, that was definitely Dan Castellaneta. Some voice actors just have trouble sustaining some voices for a long period, which is strange with him because Gil sounds more like Castellaneta than Homer, Barney, and most of his other voices. -- Scorpion 17:48, 19 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Quotes

[edit]

Why did you take the quotes away? Aren't they quite an essential part of the Simpsons, since the show has always based on funny utterances?

"Someone" decided that they should all be reomved, and added on wikiquote, although, all that they do is remove them, rather them doing their job probobly, and don't add them on there. Gran2 17:14, 23 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Some kind of cultural reference...

[edit]

When the bosses have fat on their faces and blubber when yelling, what is that supposed to be a reference to? It's not The Apprentice, is it? --Jnelson09 01:17, 26 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well Couldn't it also be the character boss nass from Star wars Episode one, i think there is a strong similarity between them? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.57.12.28 (talkcontribs)

Leprechaun

[edit]

Is the short gentleman that picks a fight with Santa's Little Helper a leprechaun, or just a midget? Is it just a coincidence that he talks and looks just like the character in Treehouse of Horror XII - Hex and the City? Variants of the "Squeaky voiced teen" are considered "one recurring character." - The Lake Effect (talk) 00:52, 24 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Abuse

[edit]

I read the discussion on IRC about the Telstra but it was too late to respond. You may want to consider reporting this to Wikipedia:ABREP. Bear in mind there's no guarantee anyone will do anything so you may want to consider helping in the process perhaps at least doing the investigation Nil Einne (talk) 21:17, 24 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Homer lets Santa's Little helper in the hot car is animal abuse--Cooly123 21:24, 21 September 2009 (UTC)

Gil Rossellini

[edit]

I was looking for the 2005 documentary film Kill Gil (Volume 1) featuring Isabella Rossellini [1], [2] when I landed here. Perhaps a disambiguation of some sort would be helpful? JJL (talk) 21:59, 8 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
