Commercial?
[edit]The current page says that Kongregate is NOT commercial. However, the site's intent seems clearly to be to make profit, thereby making it commercial. The ads are one clue to this. The $5,000,000 (yes, five million dollars) a company has invested into the site is another. Badge creator

Completely wrong, Greg, the communtiy manager is responsible for creating new badges and challenges. However he technically holds the rank of administrator in the chat and elsewhere. I don't have time to find a reference right now, but as it's already citation needed, may as well be changed. perhaps some mention of greg as community manager. 79.73.23.242
Card game

I do play Kongai and seriously it is one of the main things Kongregate is set up for. It is completed and in fact, I think it is lacking information. There should be examples of cards and what they do. The card system is extremely valuable. Zheliel (talk) 09:57, 11 October 2008 (UTC)

How To Kongregate

Kongai

Now that it's active, Kongai should really have its own page. Kongai should have it's own page, I can agree with you. But Kongai should be included in Kongregate as it is extremely important and as far as I know, everyone in Kongregate knows about this game. The game Kongai makes it slightly different from most other game sites which do not have a game by itself. If there is, I am quite sure that none can collect game items (such as Kongai's cards) in other games.Zheliel (talk) 10:01, 11 October 2008 (UTC)
In the synopsis section I removed this false information (vandalism?): ..."and it is targeted towards children between 6-10 years of age. It is a turn-based game, in which the best strategy is luck, and it is similar to Yu-Gi-Oh! in the sense that it has very limited action, as well as repetitiveness which leads to boredom."...

- Newgrounds blatantly ripped the awards system off of Kongregate (and failed), they have been attempting to get a functional chat system for over 4 years now, after Kong's success (and they're failing), and they still haven't been able to replicate the community civility that Kongregate has (the forums especially), mainly because their primary userbase is 8 year old males. Concerning my revert
[edit]I made this revert for a few reasons, and I wanted to explain them here rather than let other editors try to figure it out from a vague edit summary. The section of unsourced text was removed due to the fact that this is an overdetailed account of something that almost all forum communities have: forums, chat rooms, PMs, etc. Unless there is some third-party, reliable source that gives weight to such a section, I really don't think it belongs in the article, especially not in this level of detail. The links were reverted per WP:EL. While a link to the primary site should be in the article, it is not necessary to link that many subpages in the external links section, per WP:ELOFFICIAL. - SudoGhost 02:51, 20 November 2011 (UTC)

Kong
[edit]Kongregate literally destroyed surviv.io. The community manager and moderators are toxic, Kong does NOTHING AT ALL to improve the game even though they say they are, and there hasn’t been a major update to the game in almost a year. The players frequently ask about ANY info relating to a new update, especially an anticheat, but all Kong says is “we’re working on it”. Hackers are more abundant than ever. They also promised a roadmap, but that never came, and it never will.
