Casualties
[edit]Anyway to get a more accurate representation of casualties? The Turkish claims sound like propaganda to me and don't add up. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2.31.121.213 (talk) 11:30, 21 January 2018 (UTC)
Feb 1991 uprising
[edit]Should there be a section on the uprisings in Kurdistan/N Iraq at the end of the 1991 Gulf War? BobFromBrockley 08:47, 31 August 2007 (UTC)

This is about uprisings in Turkey, not Iraq, but there should be a setion of the Şeyh Ubeydullah Revolt.Kermanshahi (talk) 10:16, 16 May 2010 (UTC)
More Information
[edit]I have added more information please let me know if there is anything that needs to be changed, revised, or added. --Flavallee (talk) 11:12, 21 January 2008 (UTC)

Copyright violations
[edit]With this edit I removed a large chunk of the Dersim rebellion section that was copied verbatim from Paul White's Primitive Rebels Or Revolutionary Modernisers?, pg. 80-85. Please be on the lookout for further violations, and remove them, as I did, with a note in the summary and link to the diff on the talk page so editors can rewrite the content in their own words. --Adoniscik(t, c) 01:44, 2 August 2008 (UTC)
Dersim rebellion ?
[edit]Hi, we'd better not to determine Dersim rebellion as Kurdish rebellion. "Kurdish rebellion" is nothing but the claim by Kurdish nationalist. Leezenberg refers to discussions about the Dersim rebellion in 1937 1938, which had long been claimed by Kurdish nationalists to be a Kurdish rebellion against the Kemalist State. Although this incident is a part of history of Zaza people, I think that this rebellion cannot be called as Zaza rebellion. Because "Zaza rebellion" is nothing but the claim by Zaza nationalist. We'd better determine this rebellion as Alevi rebellion. Moreover, I personally think this was not a rebellion. Thank you. Takabeg (talk) 03:36, 7 October 2012 (UTC)
Discussion on the need of sanctions on Kurdish–Turkish conflict topic
[edit]I would like to invite editors on discussion over the need to set Kurdish–Turkish conflict general sanctions due to increased edit-warring on pages concerning Kurdish–Turkish conflict (1978–present).GreyShark (dibra) 07:01, 3 March 2016 (UTC)
Kurdish tribes and picture
[edit]"Kurdish tribes" are not military or political force, and your sources are not telling they are part of the rebellions. Picture doesn't belong to the rebellions as it isn't really describing anything.Ferakp (talk) 18:23, 12 December 2016 (UTC)
Read the sources, they have own militia Village guard system. Shadow4dark (talk) 04:41, 13 December 2016 (UTC)
- They are part of Turkey. Take into account, it's "Turkey", not Turkish armed forces. Also, your picture has nothing to do with the rebellion.Ferakp (talk) 04:35, 14 December 2016 (UTC)
- They are Tribes, you do now this WP:JDLShadow4dark (talk) 14:25, 14 December 2016 (UTC)
Shadow4dark, please stop to add this material. There is no consensus for this. 2003:77:4F17:4474:6C96:8F93:BE23:F21 (talk) 15:34, 2 January 2017 (UTC)

Requested move 2 January 2022
[edit]- The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.
The result of the move request was: Moved as requested to Kurdish–Turkish conflict Mike Cline (talk) 17:21, 18 January 2022 (UTC)
Kurdish rebellions in Turkey → Kurdish–Turkish conflict – This is a broad-concept article that covers the conflicts from 1920s to present. Ngrams shows that the proposed title is much more common. Heanor (talk) 17:38, 2 January 2022 (UTC) — Relisting. Extraordinary Writ (talk) 20:01, 9 January 2022 (UTC)
Comment per WP:HYPHEN, a compound modifier such as the one in the proposed article title should use a hyphen, not a dash. Rreagan007 (talk) 22:39, 2 January 2022 (UTC)- Rreagan007, is this a compound modifier? Somehow other articles like Arab–Israeli conflict use WP:DASH... --Heanor (talk) 09:04, 3 January 2022 (UTC)
- I've read over WP:DASH and thought about it and you are correct. It should use a dash here. Rreagan007 (talk) 19:15, 3 January 2022 (UTC)
- Support: As is, 'Kurdish rebellions' is overly specific, given that the article is broader than this. It is also one-sided, as it frames the topic in terms of Kurdish resistance/obstinance. A framework reflecting the mutual Kurdish-Turkish antagonism is more neutral. Iskandar323 (talk) 07:36, 10 January 2022 (UTC)
- Support per nominator. Ytpks896 (talk) 20:43, 10 January 2022 (UTC)
- Support per nom. Super Ψ Dro 21:17, 13 January 2022 (UTC)
- The proposed title is potentially overbroad. "in Turkey" is clearer, IMO, if the subject is only Republic of Turkey-era conflict. Kurds and Turks have been fighting periodically for longer than that. Srnec (talk) 03:22, 14 January 2022 (UTC)
- This is not a problem to add information about Kurdish–Turkish conflict before 1920s. --Heanor (talk) 10:09, 14 January 2022 (UTC)
