Capitalising the article title would directly contravene Wikipedia:Naming conventions (capitalization), since "landing ship, infantry" is a common noun (dead give away - you can talk of "a landing ship, infantry" (common noun) but you cannot, except in the most contrived circumstances, talk of "a Coventry" (proper name)). We don't have article titles at "Aircraft Carrier" or "Amphibious Warfare Ship" for that very reason. This is the result of long consensus. Shem (talk) 20:28, 29 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
