Should the article have GA?

[edit]

As the title says. The early part of the protests seems stable.Mariogoods (talk) 05:43, 18 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Early anti-extradition protest should not after 9 June

[edit]

On 9 June 2019 anti-extradition protest attract 240 thousand to 1 million protest, so it is a critical point. Protest before 9 June should regard as early stages, but after 9 June should not regard it as early stage. Joeccho (talk) 12:11, 21 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia forbidden wiki editor making their own WP:Original research. It is better than nothing to group it as June (and before), July and August. Matthew hk (talk) 13:33, 21 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Joeccho: If you can cite an article that says something similar or along those lines, then such information could be included at the relevant part of this Wikipedia page ... so I think it would be reasonable that some mention could be made for the 9 June entry about it being a "turning point" if you can back that up with a reliable source. 65.60.163.223 (talk)
Various government official travel advice quote 9 June 2019 as a turning point for large-scale demonstration, including Australian's smart travel, Canada government official travel advise for Hong Kong. The US also refer June 2019 as a start point for large-scale demonstration, see Hong Kong Travel Advisory. Joeccho (talk) 07:53, 10 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
There is a policy of wikipedia that WP:no original research. Using arbitrary by month is safer than we decided another day. Or you dig out lots of news article to explicitly state "Day X" is the turning point of 2019 HK protests, that escalate. Otherwise, please do not WP:synthesis source: Do not combine material from multiple sources to reach or imply a conclusion not explicitly stated by any of the sources. Similarly, do not combine different parts of one source to reach or imply a conclusion not explicitly stated by the source. If one reliable source says A, and another reliable source says B, do not join A and B together to imply a conclusion C that is not mentioned by either of the sources.. 4 June - 30th anniversary of the 1989 Tiananmen Square protests & anti-elab sentiments

[edit]

Perhaps we should make a new entry for this in the timeline:
30th anniversary of the 1989 Tiananmen Square protests#Hong Kong
The Wikipedia article mentions anti-elab sentiments were part of the commemoration. 65.60.163.223 (talk) 05:15, 26 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
