Andy Cole

[edit]

Manchester City player Andy Cole was born and brought up in Nottingham, not in the borough of Hammersmith & Fulham. However, his manager at City, Stuart Pearce, was born in Shepherd's Bush, which is in the borough. I have taken the necessary steps to edit the page. Sjgenius 19:20, 19 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Rowers

[edit]

I've removed a comment from the article which contradicted the previous content about rowing in the borough: I don't know how accurate this stuff all this; I've simply removed it because it's conversational and unencyclopaedic. If someone can confirm either way and maybe edit based on this info then that'd be preferrable to keeping this in the article:

"This would be great, except for the fact there aren't actually all that many clubs on the north bank of the river (which would be in Hammersmith & Fulham), that Tideway Scullers' boathouse (although on the north bank of the river) is actually in Hounslow, and that Redgrave and Pinsent, although they might on the odd occasion have trained on the Tideway, were based at Leander Club (at Henley)."

There it is. Driller thriller 03:43, 4 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Development

[edit]

Hamm and Fulham is currently fighting a PR battle with Kenn and Chelsea for an extra Crossrail station, and even a High Speed Two terminus. Someone may be able to tell the whole story. Such a station would transform the economy of the north of the borough. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jdudding (talkcontribs) 19:21, 30 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

History

Is that it. Is that really the best we can do? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.145.152.172 (talk) 13:27, 6 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

If you go here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_English_districts_by_population and hover over the London Boroughs you'll see that in the pop-up box there is some text and a map of London with the borough highlighted in red. This isn't true for Hammersmith and Fulham -- there's no image in the pop up box.

I don't know how to fix this, and I'm hoping whoever reads this does.
