"Perhaps" the largest church in the world — weaselly?

[edit]

I removed the superscript link to "weasel words" because it is an unwarranted critique of the use of the word "perhaps" in this context. Any reader should be able to conclude that St. Peter's, if not the largest church in the world, is indeed one of the very largest. That one cannot make a conclusive declaration follows from the application of varying parameters to the definition of "largest church." However, this brief summary of the four major basilicas is not the place to enter into such details. Using the word "perhaps" in this context is not only reasonable, but also required in order to remain factual without taking a side in the debate of how to define the largest church.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Robertsturner52 (talkcontribs) 07:37 10 May 2019 (UTC)

I think it would be even better to reword the sentence to avoid issues about it. Something like "the largest church in the world by some measures". I think I'll do that. Also, please remember to sign you talk page posts. oknazevad (talk) 14:25, 10 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
