[edit]Is considered not only the confidante, but also the possible crime partner of Mehmed II in killing his own brothers in order to get to the throne by historian Oliver Schmidt. --Brunswick Dude (talk) 04:13, 8 February 2011 (UTC)
Mother of Mehmed II?
[edit]Was she really Mehmed II's mother? According to the Mehmed II article, his mother was Hüma Hatun. --Jfruh (talk) 00:54, 6 January 2012 (UTC)
All woman get a new name in the Harem...she was named in the Harem Hüma Hatun. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.248.155.177 (talk) 03:38, 24 March 2012 (UTC)
- That's possible, but the Hüma Hatun makes it clear that it's talking about a different person -- she was born in Anatolia and the only thing known about her family background is that her father was named Abdullah. --Jfruh (talk) 15:00, 25 March 2012 (UTC)
daughter of Abdullah
This name doesnt mean she was a daughter by a man who called Abdullah.
Abdullah (slaveof God), was a Title of a christian Man, when hes daughter get in the imperial Harem in the early Ottoman time.
since Orhan the son of the founder Osman, there are no native born muslima in the harem.
Only christian and very few jews womans.
In the Harem, all girls got a new name.
Mara was indeed Hüma — Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.248.188.171 (talk) 20:36, 5 December 2012 (UTC)
