Her name

[edit]

I've always believed the following is the situation with her name:

  • she was born Margaret Ann Enid Geater
  • she married Henry Elkins, and became Margaret Ann Enid Elkins
  • she took "Margreta Elkins" as her professional name
  • but that was her full professional name. She was never known to the public as "Margreta Ann Enid Elkins"
  • this form is mixing part of her legal married name with her full professional name.

I'd rather see us say that her bolded name in the intro was simply "Margreta Elkins AM", but that she was "born Margaret Anne Enid Geater in Brisbane ..... and married Henry Elkins". Or something like that. -- JackofOz (talk) 14:01, 9 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

What you suggest is highly likely. I suggest you go ahead. Nunquam Dormio (talk) 15:02, 9 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
