Hey - there is no mention of Marimekko - the strategic thinkers tool for displaying a two-by-two chart by value or number... any management consultant or business thinker will know what I mean!

Anyone fancy adding one?

(I was trying to find one so I'm afraid I'm no use).

Thanks! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 193.108.78.10 (talk) 13:36, 16 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! ---Majestic- 16:28, 16 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The Marimekko chart (a stacked, variable column-width chart) gets its name from the fabric, and not the other way around.

Also, curious thing to explicitly mention five North American shops, and not mention the dozens of shops across Europe and the Far East.. why the N.A. bias? Atanovic (talk) 18:57, 21 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

They did today's Spring Equinox Google Doodle! Notable? Arlo Barnes (talk) 10:27, 20 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

What does "Marimekko" mean?

[edit]

It could be Mari + mekko ("Mary dress"), but then why Mari? 86.135.115.218 (talk) 01:38, 20 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

That's right. Mari just stands for the typical young Finnish woman of the 1950s, i.e. 'A dress for you'. Chiswick Chap (talk) 08:36, 20 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Google Doodle

[edit]

The following clearly isn't part of the 'Commercial Growth' section. Perhaps it could be used somewhere: Chiswick Chap (talk) 22:22, 20 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

"On March 20th 2012, The Google doodle for spring equinox was inspired by Marimekko. [1]"
