- I always avoid single-sentence paragraphs as you have as the opening para of the lead.
- I've added another sentence.EchetusXe 01:11, 11 March 2021 (UTC)
- Professionalism in association football is a good link for professional in this context.
- "were relegated out of" normally just "from" rather than "out of".
- "free transfer" link.
- Link "relegated" (to Promotion and relegation).
- "from St James' Park at " the academy don't play there.
- Looks like this has been done.EchetusXe 01:11, 11 March 2021 (UTC)
- "Born in Ashington, Northumberland..." this para has seven sentences, six of which start with "He..." mix it up, merge a bit, and throw in the odd "Cullen" instead of he.
- the "Tigers" - avoid using nicknames unless you've introduced them properly. Applies to "Shakers" and "Hatters" etc.
- " 2–1 League Cup second " use the specific season League Cup article rather than the general one.
- "that manager Richie Barker left Gigg Lane." sacked or ..?
- "relegated into the" just relegated "to".
- "a free transfer" link here too.
- "stunning" said who?
- "perfect hat-trick" link.
- "transfer fee" link.
- "scored both goals" both of his side's goals.
- play-off -> link 2017 English Football League play-offs.
- "grade two tear" what's that?
- "longest serving player" longest-serving
- "He was a linked " no need for the a.
- " Newcastle United U21 " overlinked.
- Looks like this has been done.EchetusXe 01:11, 11 March 2021 (UTC)
- "over Colchester United" likewise.

- Okay I've actioned on those now. Thanks.EchetusXe 01:11, 11 March 2021 (UTC)
- You're still using nicknames without introducing them. Who knows what "Shakers" or "Bantams" means without saying what they mean? Personally I'd stick with the club names, this is, after all, an encyclopedia. The Rambling Man (Stay alert! Control the virus! Save lives!!!!) 13:42, 11 March 2021 (UTC)
- Okay I have removed the nicknames.--EchetusXe 21:58, 11 March 2021 (UTC)

- GA, in time, long enough, sourced, inline hook citation checks out, no apparent copyvios, QPQ done. EchetusXe, though not a DKY requirement, is there a reason the article doesn't mention anything more recent than September 2020? --Usernameunique (talk) 18:58, 14 March 2021 (UTC)
- He's just been in and out of the team, not grabbing any headlines or doing anything of note to be honest. I'll have a look for any little things that could be mentioned but the season finished in a couple of months anyway so his contribution to the season will be summarised at that stage anyway.EchetusXe 20:19, 14 March 2021 (UTC)
