Remove fake "honorific" CBBQTT

Connected contributor wrote most of this page

RTN56U (talk · contribs), which is responsible for much of the content of this page, is a single-purpose account that only ever edited this page in 2012. This is suggestive that the account owner may have had a personal connection to the topic, such as being an Automattic employee or perhaps even being the article subject himself. RTN56U was a model of ASUS router from 2011, but it could also just have been a keysmash. Apocheir (talk) 22:40, 21 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

A good chunk of the article was a laundry list of awards and speaking engagements. I removed those, and I adjusted the tone of other parts of the article. Possible "Controversies" section

Mullenweg is currently the subject of a scandal surrounding the website Tumblr.com and discriminatory moderation policies. Tumblr has previously received a lawsuit in the US for discriminatory moderation policies, so this may be more appropriate for Tumblr's own Wikipedia page instead? 2601:19B:D81:E50:90DF:94D1:B8A:4739 (talk) 16:09, 22 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I respectfully disagree. I think that people often use Wikipedia to get a measure of a prominent individual and their behaviour. That should include any controversies, particularly those instigated by that individual. Thecolonpagesaretoocomplicated (talk) 19:40, 28 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

What to do with the Philanthropy section

Section 'Mullenweg's philanthropy section' not found

The citations were crap so I axed the section. The first one for the Bay Lights is an unreliable WP:FORBESCON article. The first one for the Rothko Chapel is a press release, while the second smells like churnalism. Also by Matt's own accounting, he only gave $2 million in charity in 2021, not $3 million. Clarification of WordPress Context

Requesting advice on how to clarify WordPress within the context of this article. For example, within the Public Disputes section it states "WordPress industry" and WordPress is not an industry. Without context it can could be interpreted as the open source software, the foundation, the commercial version, or the trademark. Perhaps other meanings.
