Hi! On seaching "Meesha Shafi" on Wikipedia, the suggestion given by it is like "Meesha Shafi, Pakistani kh****" (an abusive word). It is my request to please remove this word, and update as "Meesha Shafi, Pakistani artist/singer/model". Thanks! M.Billoo2000 (talk) 20:16, 10 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I can't see where any such phrase exists in the article - maybe some old vandalism that is cached in your browser? --bonadea contributions talk 20:35, 10 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Bonadea: Not talking about any thing in article, I am saying if any one searches the name "Meesha Shafi" by typing this in Wiki search box, the Wiki suggests this article, saying "Meesha Shafi, Pakistani kh****" (Pakistani kh**** written in small). There might be an old vandalism in wiki search, which has not been reverted. Being a new user, I don't know how to correct this. Hope you understand and fix it. Thanks! @M.Billoo2000: Hmmm. I seem to be unable to get any such search result.... are you still seeing the same result when you search? It might very well be some old vandalism and in that case it might be gone from the search cache. But if you are still seeing it, you might ask at the help desk where more people will see your question than on this talk page. Sorry I can't be of any help! --bonadea contributions talk 23:11, 12 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Bonadea: Thanks for your kind reply! M.Billoo2000 (talk) 14:20, 13 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@M.Billoo2000: I guess you are searching in the mobile version or at https://www.wikipedia.org. Searches there display descriptions from Wikidata, in this case Meesha Shafi (Q6807727). In the desktop version you don't see the Wikidata description but can reach it by clicking "Wikidata item" under "Tools" in the left pane. I don't know what the word means. It was added in [1]. I have changed it to "Pakistani actress, model and singer".[2] PrimeHunter (talk) 16:27, 13 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@PrimeHunter: Thanks for updating. Actually the word was of Urdu (Pakistani) language, written with English alphabets. No good meaning of that word. Yes you are right, I use mobile device, which automatically shows mobile version. Well, thanks. M.Billoo2000 (talk) 16:46, 13 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
It arose from this vandalism which was moved to Wikidata by a bot. —teb728 t c 05:12, 14 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Canadian residency

[edit]

She gained Canadian residency in 2016, not citizenship, thats what it says in the article cited. In 2021, prior to her appeal being heard at the Supreme court in Pakistan, she declared that she was a citizen of Pakistan on her official twitter page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kz2002 (talkcontribs) 12:06, 12 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
