Untitled[edit]

Michael Hayes and the Freebirds were involved in the infamous 'blinding' of the Junyard Dog (JYD..Sylvester Ritter)

During a brief split-up with Terry Gordy, Michael Hayes brought on Otis Sistrunk of the Oakland Raiders to battle him and his new partner Jimmy Snuka for the Georgia Tag Team belts. This didn't play out for long due to Sistrunks unwillingness to commit full time to professional wrestling. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 165.166.57.234 (talk) 16:57, 7 December 2007 (UTC)

On April 22, 2008 Michael Hayes has been suspended by World Wrestling Entertainment, though the reason as to why he as been suspended has not been stated thus far. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Arewiner (talkcontribs) 22:57, 22 April 2008 (UTC)

WWE creative team member Michael Hayes has been suspended from the company for 60 days following an incident that took place in Orlando during Wrestlemania weekend. Hayes, the head writer of the SmackDown brand, allegedly used racist language towards SmackDown star Mark Henry.

The incident took place at a party that was held either Friday or Saturday night. Hayes had been drinking when he approached Mark Henry. Hayes told Henry, "I'm more of a n----- than you are." Henry took offense to the comment. After a physical altercation between the two, Henry reported the issue to either Vince or Stephanie McMahon.

At first, WWE tried to keep the suspension quiet. People who inquired were told that Hayes on vacation. However, when word got out about the incident with Henry, it was revealed that Hayes is suspended.(www.wrestlezone.com) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Arewiner (talkcontribs) 20:06, 23 April 2008 (UTC)

Yes but all this is conjecture or rumor. This cannot be added unless the WWE makes any further comment or if Henry decides to speak out. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.127.220.65 (talk) 03:58, 24 April 2008 (UTC)

Orphaned references in Michael Hayes (wrestler)[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Michael Hayes (wrestler)'s orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 18:31, 15 April 2015 (UTC)
