TV credits

[edit]

The TV credits should be chronological, and dated. When I have a chance I will look into it. In the mean time if anyone can do it then feel free. --DrMotley (talk) 15:08, 28 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

how exactly do you appear on radio? don't you mean perform on the radio? "and has additionally appeared on radio."

Merton

[edit]

You can't be 'born and raised in Muswell Hill' but born in Merton. Clarification?

Famous writer?

Sounds odd, changing it. Franknotes (talk) 12:08, 27 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hair?

[edit]

I've noticed there is no mention of Mr. McIntyre's hair. Clarification? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.148.134.186 (talk) 21:43, 20 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

What? There is no need to mention his hair - it isn't all that distinctive a characteristic, is it? Alan16 (talk) 22:28, 31 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I would like to know more about his hair as well 84.203.42.163 (talk) 23:33, 18 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Here's all you will ever need to know about Michael's hair:
  1. He has some
  2. It is brown
  3. It is long, but not too long
  4. It is also well-groomed, but not in the paedophile victim sense.

Any other questions? Rodhullandemu 23:56, 18 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Does he use the same wig brand as Terry Wogan did? Wythy (talk) 14:06, 25 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Name

[edit]

Any idea why he's known as Michael McIntyre? Say his Dad was called Ray Cameron and his Mum Kati. Then his father remarried to someone called Holly McIntyre. So his birth name would surely be Cameron and McIntyre is seemingly the name of his step-mother. So anyone know why he uses McIntyre? 77.68.0.126 (talk) 13:53, 24 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

His father's birth name was Thomas Cameron McIntyre, he changed his name to Ray Cameron at a later date - his stage name. --Ryan-McCulloch (talk) 22:03, 17 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
He is known by the name "McIntyre" to hide his Jewish ancestry, for diverse and obvious reasons. 81.154.168.211 (talk) 21:36, 28 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

it Says that Michael McIntyre's Date of birth is 15th February 1976 But it says in His Autobiography(Life & Laughing) that his date of birth is actually 21st February 1976. so i think that it needs to be changed because it is wrong at the moment and should be changed. Thank you.

DinoRawwr (talk) 15:47, 1 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: Do you have WP:RS to back it up. Everything added to wikipedia needs a reliable source.
Done Done, with reliable source to go with it. I have also read the autobiography and his DoB is definitely the 21st. --TBM10 (talk) 19:25, 1 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Simon Ward reference

[edit]

Could someone please add this news article as a reference to verify that McIntyre's wife is indeed Simon Ward's daughter. Thanks.

Actually, in McIntyre's autobiography, he gives the date of birth of his son Lucas as June 29, 2005. I don't have a page number as I only have the audiobook, but it it is in chapter 23. 99.192.93.184 (talk) 19:01, 28 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

He also is a keen bee keeper, a hobby shared with his best friend Chris Addison.

I just removed this after doing a quick search and not seeing it in a WP:RS - Please cite and replace. Off2riorob (talk) 21:21, 6 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Criticism section

[edit]

I see that in addition to changing the lead back to the way it was, and adding a small mention there of Britain's Got Talent, I also removed a newly added Criticism section, quoting a very negative comment by a fellow comedian and sourced to this article in the Daily Telegraph. I think it's undue weight, but submitting the removal and my opinion for discussion here. Yngvadottir (talk) 21:36, 22 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

That's a bit strange considering for a large subsection of comedy fans he's regularly offered as the archetype of bad comedy. Several noteworthy comics have made similar negative comments to the extent it's a part of who he is and how he's considered in general. Plus the whole oft-repeated thing about not writing his own jokes. Turkeyphant 00:18, 3 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Fairly or unfairly, he's been notoriously unpopular with many other comedians for over 15 years, and there are plenty of negative comments indicating this in WP:RS. I know Criticism sections are generally frowned upon in WP, but it's odd that the article doesn't mention this dislike at all. --Ef80 (talk) 13:16, 2 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Is there not a better main photo we could use for this article? Like where he’s not doing the nazi salute? Scooch Cubing (talk) 23:58, 17 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
