Contested deletion

[edit]

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because this is a page about Indian field hockey women players. I will not allow it to be deleted --Annakoppad (talk) 15:12, 15 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Annakoppad: That's not a good reason, and it's not wise to talk about "not allow"ing it to be deleted. What you need to do is to show why she should be in the encyclopedia. I see from the categories you added that you are saying she is in the 2016 Olympics: none of the sources you have given supports this, so please find sources which do so, and then add that statement to the text of the article. And please use existing categories or create them formally, don't just add categories you want and leave them showing in red. PamD 16:06, 15 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Sir Joseph: Representing her country in Asian Games is enough to make A7 inappropriate - and it was obvious from the sources given. PamD 16:06, 15 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
It wasn't obvious in the version I CSD'ed, I should not have to read every source, the assertion of notability should be clear in the article. Sir Joseph (talk) 16:08, 15 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
