Clean up of red links?

[edit]

I don't know much about abbots and archbishops and such. How likely is it that these people who are redlinked in the article are going to be notable enough for their own articles? Though there's nothing wrong with redlinks, I'd like to unlink the ones that are unlikely to merit articles. Katr67 (talk) 22:18, 2 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Copyvio, big time

[edit]

Unfortunately, most of this article is a copyright violation of http://www.mtangel.edu/monastery/history.htm and unless someone takes on the task of rewriting this soon, I plan to remove the copyvio material, which will essentially reduce this article to a stub. Daughter houses

[edit]

I know there's more than one, but the one I know of is Westminster Abbey (British Columbia). Please see the "History" section on the talkpage there, in case anyone here knows why the site in Mission BC was chosen as the site of that abbey, which was founded by monks sent out from Mount Angel.Skookum1 (talk) 17:24, 14 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Possible source

[edit]

Not sure if this was part of this institution, but some info on Mt. Angel Academy. Aboutmovies (talk) 19:07, 25 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Updating the page

[edit]

This article conflates the abbey with its apostolates. It was founded as an abbey, from which a number of apostolates would later be started. I have begun by changing the infobox to a 'monastery' and not that of the seminary as previously listed. This includes a proper map with coordinates, photo, and updated information. Additional work needs to be done on the citations that are not copyright violations but should be reliable, verifiable, and independent. MonasticScribe (talk) 07:47, 22 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
