When they found Joe Campos Torres' body the family didn't know that it was really him, because his whole body looked like blubber. This also happened either a little time before Mother's Day, or some time afterwards. Further research of Torres' headstone reflects May 8, 1977 as his death date, website; billiongraves.com/Joe Campos Torres this site hosts an image of his headstone. Multiple news articles use varying dates to note Torres' date of death from May 5th thru May 8th, with May 5th being the dominating date. This talk is to note the date of death as; May 8, 1997. Sharing any additional public/government records, other than the va.gov, reflecting Torres' date of death would be appreciated. Vwanweb (talk) 03:37, 4 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
