Time to do bio
[edit]One of the finest boxers in his time, where is his bio?
"Near vandalism?"
[edit]According to BoxingWear, I killed information when I made my edits. As anyone can plainly see by looking at the two versions, I killed no information. I merely cleaned up the writing and removed redundant information. For those who cannot see it, however, let me spell it out.
- I removed this sentence from the first paragraph: “He was considered top opponent for Rocky, but lost to Archie Moore 15/15 UD on May 2 1955.” One, this is poorly written. Two, the same information is contained in the main paragraph. Valdez’s loss to Moore is talked about in context of his whole career.
- I changed this some: “There was talk that if he would have won that bout, he would have fought Marciano on January 2 in Miami Beach, FL. A possible title bout against Rock was a possibility in June of 1956 in Cuba.” I left the first sentence but took off the date and took out the second sentence. One, the second sentence is written poorly – “a possible title bout was a possibility”? – and it conflicts with the sentence before. If a title bout was a possibility in June in Miami, how could the same bout be a possibility in June in Cuba? So I removed the confusion and simply said that a title bout was a possibility.
- Futhermore, BoxingWear took out this info: "He continued boxing, losing to heavyweight contenders Zora Folley, Eddie Machen, and Sonny Liston. After his last bout, a win over contender Brian London in 1959, he retired." And he accuses me of "killing tons of info."
For this, BoxingWear says that it was “near vandalism.” MKil 17:22, 31 January 2007 (UTC)MKil
If i did take that out, kindly, put it back, but do not kill my edits, I simply can not nor do i have time to follow up what you added or not. Boxingwear
- It's fairly simple to check. Instead of reverting every edit I make, just compare the two versions of our edits and then insert any information you think I "killed." By just reverting my edits, you remove a lot of corrections on mis-spellings, removal of redundant information, etc. MKil 17:47, 31 January 2007 (UTC)MKil
Leave on your talk page what you reverted, and what of my work did you revert, when I have time, I will compare if you are not twisting the truth again! But do not touch marciano or patterson site again! Boxingwear
