Requested move

[edit]

The surname of this article should be changed to "Pilic" because that is the surname used on the English-language websites of the official governing bodies of tennis, which are the Association of Tennis Professionals and the International Tennis Federation. This is also the surname used on the English-language website of Davis Cup. Finally, this is the surname used on the English-language website of the only Grand Slam title he won, the US Open men's doubles. Tennis expert (talk) 04:59, 12 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Move - agree. All 5 external links, including his own webpage, spell it Pilic. Fyunck(click) (talk) 07:11, 17 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Strongly oppose (1) ITF is not the determinant of encyclopedia standards for BLPs. (2) Priority for BLPs is accuracy, MOS and various other guidelines which have been rehashed ad infinitum. (3) Removing the accent changes the pronunciation in Croatian and benefits no one. (4) This a highly notable figure in Croatian sport history and has a WP Croatia project tag; This article has been rated as High-importance on the project's importance scale - but the RM hasn't been even been notified on WP:Croatia talk page. 1973 Wimbledon boycott

[edit]

The article claims that 13 of the top 16 seeds withdrew, but the page ‘1973 Wimbledon Championships – Men's singles’ shows four of the original 16 seeds were re-seeded 1–4. Someone who definitely knows the facts (and cares) should confirm or amend. 94.173.211.41 (talk) 14:00, 15 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
