Languages

[edit]

In what languages was she educated? Where was she educated. Whart language did her family speak? What language did she speak to her children in. Does she speak Urdu? Sindhi? Farsi? Kurdish? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ahassan05 (talkcontribs) 10:56, 29 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Religion and sect

[edit]

I had to remove the Shia claim because first there is no source to verify this, second, it says she is Kurdish so how can she be Shia if she is a Kurd because Kurds are Sunnis, and third, the Shia claim was added by a sockpuppet. [1]--Seminoletree (talk) 16:58, 12 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Read a book. Iranian Kurds are overwhelmingly Shia. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 63.216.123.141 (talk) 17:01, 12 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
You and your POVs again. Kurds are Sunnis, most books are written by uneducated POV pushers.--Seminoletree (talk) 17:15, 12 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Nusrat Bhutto is a practicing Shia, and her family connection with Kurds does not make her Sunni. As a matter of fact, she raised her children Shia although Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto's family was Sunni. I have seen Benazir's video in which she was praying the Shia way during her visit to Iran's Shia shrines. Hassanfarooqi (talk) 15:29, 25 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Not only did she raise her children Shia, she ensured her son-in-laws and daughter-in-laws were also Shia. Asif Ali Zardari's family is a well known Shia family and Asif Zardari is a practicing Shia. Hassanfarooqi (talk) 15:37, 25 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

TO the above... who cares. The Bhutto's were Muslim. Period. I dont think they really cared if they were Shia or Sunni, Zulfiqar Bhutto and his wife routinely said they just proud of being Pakistani and Muslim. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.90.129.18 (talk) 01:59, 25 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Change in information about Nusrat Sabuncu's parentage

[edit]

A couple of years back I read that Nusrat's father was called Sabuncu (Soap seller/Soap maker in Turkish). He was supposed to be a Munshi (clerk/bookkeeper) at Ispahani Tea Company. That information has disappeared from Wikipedia as well other digital sources. The claim that she hails from a wealthy background is quite a surprise. Can anyone throw more light on the subject? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Abikan (talkcontribs) 04:11, 1 February 2010 (UTC) Abikan (talk) 13:13, 22 February 2015 (UTC) For some odd reason it has been found convenient to hide Mrs Benazir Zardari's ancestry. Benazir has very categorically clarified that her mother Nusrat (nee Sabuncu) was Kurdish and her (Mrs Zardari's) own upbringing was very much ingrained with Kurdish values inculcated by the character of her own Kurdish mother. The internet has abundant examples of such instances. http://www.saradistribution.com/butto.htm[reply]
