Edit warring and self-editing
[edit]It has been reported in a reliable source (The Washington Post) that the office of the subject of this article has admitted participating in an edit war by reverting material.[1] Editors should be advised that self-editing is subject to Biography of Living Persons rules (WP:BLP), and should take steps to avoid edit warring (WP:AVOIDEDITWAR) --Zeamays (talk) 03:08, 15 February 2017 (UTC)
- That one edit was promptly reverted and not, as far as it appears, been repeated. Bmclaughlin9 (talk) 03:37, 15 February 2017 (UTC)

Suggestion: This info is appropriate to coverage of his service in the House, but doesn't belong in the summary, where it now sits.
- As of February 14, 2017, he would not commit to holding a townhall meeting to discuss healthcare reform with his constituents, but would meet in private with small groups.[1]

It could use an additional sentence for context, namely what his colleagues were experiencing in their town halls. Bmclaughlin9 (talk) 17:16, 15 February 2017 (UTC)
- I agree that this isn't something that belongs on the introductory paragraph - it unduly highlights something that is of only recent (and perhaps passing) interest. It's inclusion appears to be politically motivated. Also, the Washington Post article mentioned above as a reliable source, is not a news article but rather an opinion piece - and an inflammatory one at that - which is a very poor source to use for introducing negative information into a WP:BLP.
