This article on PALM/STORM addresses an important and growing technology. However I believe it may benefit from a partial restructuring to address the following issues:
1. The article lacks any link to other wikipedia articles, to further explain concepts and ideas discussed. As an example, a whole section on TIRF could be simply skipped by linking to the appropriate TIRF page.
2. The sentencing and English grammar can be improved.
3. The article is rich with very specific references to ongoing research articles (most of them on Scientific Journals requiring paying subscriptions to be accessed). Since the methods are still in full development, it may be more appropriate to use the literature references only to support statements, and to limit citations to the original articles proving a new concept or idea.
4. Three images are taken from Scientific Journals (Science, Nature) that do not publish under a creative commons licences, and could be therefore subject to copyright infringment. I recommend deleting these images replacing them with open access contents.
6. Many references are quoted inappropriately, in some cases seemingly at random. Again, propose to reduce the number of references.
