Proof that this is an original net anime (ONA).

[edit]

@Spanneraol: in your edit description you wrote "thats not what that definition is used for... net anime is stuff just on the internet, netflix doesnt qualify".

Now take a look at the following Wikipedia articles:
- Cagaster of an Insect Cage
- Cyberpunk: Edgerunners
- Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045

Each series was created specifically for Netflix, and they're all classified as ONAs. Knowing this, I think it would be appropriate to classify Pokémon Concierge as an ONA as well. 2600:8802:1913:1F00:A814:4DED:3F0A:8859 (talk) 03:12, 12 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Yes they are anime.. but to say it's a "original net anime" implies it is shown on a website on the net.. not on a streaming network like netflix. those other shows you mention were not produced by netflix and were just licensed by them as secondary markets. Netflix is a website on the net. And it doesn't matter if Netflix produced the work or not. All the shows I listed above premiered on Netflix. Same with Pokémon Concierge. 2600:8802:1913:1F00:BC9B:77FB:2E6A:2DD6 (talk) 04:13, 12 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Netflix is not a website, it's an app and a streaming service.. it's not the same thing... the others premiered in japan first before the netflix premiere and there are no sources describing these two as net animes. Spanneraol (talk) 05:12, 12 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Here are some sources:
Also, Cagaster of an Insect Cage, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045 all don't have citations that verify that they are ONAs. They are just called ONAs by Wikipedia editors because all the different facts within the article fit the ONA definition.
And you can watch movies and shows right in your browser at netflix.com. But since you say Netflix isn't a website, that would make YouTube, Vimeo, and others not websites either. 2600:8802:1913:1F00:BC9B:77FB:2E6A:2DD6 (talk) 14:19, 12 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I still feel you are using the term incorrectly, but I don't feel strongly enough to keep debating it.. as long as you have sources calling it that then go ahead and make your changes. Spanneraol (talk) 21:02, 12 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. 2600:8802:1913:1F00:BC9B:77FB:2E6A:2DD6 (talk) 22:52, 12 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Is it really stop motion?

[edit]

The article describes the production as stop motion animation, but Dwarf Animation Studio is known for CG animation. It seems possible the series is CG created in a stop motion style. Unless there's some confirmation of how the animation was made, suggest changing to "stop motion-style" or something else appropriate. Holynightfever (talk) 09:46, 11 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

These two sources [1][2] (One of which is the parent company) seem to confirm it's using actual stop motion animation, with the Variety source detailing it in further depth. Has one ever considered Magneton? Pokelego999 (talk) 22:10, 12 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you! The Variety article does seem to confirm. Holynightfever (talk) 11:21, 30 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
