Nesting

[edit]

I don't think trumpeters nest on the ground. I've seen footage of pale-winged trumpeters nesting in trees.

Actually, on the grey winged trumpeter page it says they nest in trees. So I guess you're right. Robin Chen 06:48, 30 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Trumpeter (bird) → ? – Current title does not sufficiently disambiguate with Trumpeter (pigeon) and Trumpeter swan. Not a bird expert, so I'm looking for ideas on an appropriate title. 162 etc. (talk) 20:56, 27 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Possibly "tropical bird", but with only two other possibilities, the hatnote is really sufficient, especially since trumpeter swans are rarely called just trumpeters. Station1 (talk) 22:33, 27 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Arabian Trumpeter, Bokhara Trumpeter, Dresden Trumpeter, Altenburger Trumpeter, English Trumpeter are all birds. 162 etc. (talk) 23:07, 27 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
They are all pigeons. Like the swan, none would be titled simply Trumpeter. Anyone searching for a specific breed would click on Trumpeter (pigeon), where all these are listed. Station1 (talk) 23:17, 27 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
