The result of the move request was: moved

The problem here is that the previous close was bad. Per WP:NONENG, the absence of English-language sources should not have been a reason to reject the move, although it would have been preferable if the editor had supplied a translation into English. The correct response would have been to request a review of the previous close rather than resubmit the request, but the simplest way to deal with it now is to move the article.

The new source provided has been accepted by the only editor who opposed the previous request, although I would not myself have accepted it as a RS. The entire article relies on Chinese sources, including for the statement that the name was changed to Qingdao Youth Island F.C. in January.

There is a suggestion that the name may have changed during the regretably extended period of the move request. If so, a further request will need to be made. (non-admin closure) Havelock Jones (talk) 19:02, 12 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Per the club's official Weibo account, first one is the club's official notice, and the last picture in the second article also has the club's official English name on it https://m.weibo.cn/6603410430/4595857515617907 https://m.weibo.cn/6603410430/4673422398066069 Sagan Storo (talk)

  • Move to Qingdao Qingchundao per Transfermarkt and the clear name on the club's latest badge,[1] per Sagan Storo.  — Amakuru (talk) 11:35, 2 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose Sometimes the info on Transfermarkt is also taken from Wikipedia, which can be erroneous. Also according to the sources I've listed, they clearly say that the club's official documents list its English name as Qingdao Youth Island, which should supersede what's written on its crest (especially considering the "name" on the crest looks merely like a pinyin name and not the official English name). @Amakuru and Sagan Storo: Transfermarkt is not considered a reliable source. GiantSnowman 18:11, 7 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
OK. Well anyway, the club's website now seems to say Qingdao Kangtaiyuan F.C., which is pretty close to the current title. So we could move it to that location, but there don't seem to be English sources affirming the proposed title.  — Amakuru (talk) 18:28, 7 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Soccerway confirms 'Qingdao Youth Island'. GiantSnowman 18:31, 7 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Why was the page 'Su Shihao' redirected to here?

[edit]

The page 'Su Shihao' was created by me and focuses on a player for Qingdao Youth Island football club, I don't know why yesterday it was reviewed and redirected to the page of the football club. I hope this could be reverted.
