Hook eligibility:

QPQ: Done.

Overall: @Pseud 14: Good article, but the hook is not interesting to me. If you could suggest a new hook then that would be great. Onegreatjoke (talk) 19:08, 5 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Onegreatjoke: added alternative hook. Let me know what you think and feel free to edit/improve. Pseud 14 (talk) 00:36, 6 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Pseud 14: I'm not really a big fan of the new hook. It doesn't seem all that interesting to me. Onegreatjoke (talk) 18:52, 18 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Onegreatjoke: I would argue that since Velasquez only did one theater stint and is a pop artist, it would make sense and would warrant interest to mention where she starred in and the role she played with respect to the concert series theme. However, if you find that there are other interesting facts that stand out better in the article than the hook(s) presented, feel free to suggest. @Theleekycauldron: I gather we can have a fresh set of eyes from other reviewers offer other perspective too, similar to other DYK reviews? Lmk if you have some suggestions as well. Pseud 14 (talk) 19:03, 18 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not sure if if ALT3 counts as a BLP violation, but if it doesn't then I think it's actually the best option here. ALT2 is kinda meh-ish. Narutolovehinata5 (talk · contributions) 00:04, 23 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Onegreatjoke: Thoughts on the new hooks? Narutolovehinata5 (talk · contributions) 09:31, 23 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The only hook I find interesting is alt3 but if that's considered too negative then i don't know. I'll approve it though. Onegreatjoke (talk) 20:19, 23 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

    Pass/Fail:

Infobox and lead

[edit]
  • Infobox is good overall, including non-free rationale for the image.
  • For the two instances of "November 27", did you mean November 21? That's what the poster and shows table list for the last show.
That's my bad, it is Nov 21. Fixed
  • Add "Philippines" after Parañaque.
Added
  • The lead could use a slight rewrite for flow. There are at least two short sentences that stand out due to the length of the other sentences surrounding them.
Revised.

Background and development

[edit]
  • Change to "would perform" and "that November"
Done
  • Ref 1 is an article on the GMA website about her announcing the shows through the social media posts, but I don't see how that also translates to her announcing it through GMA Network News. Aren't they just reporting the news?
Revised
  • fix ", with a show title called Regine at the Theater."
Not sure what you meant to fix on this, but if it's adding Philippines after Paranaque, I've done so too.
  • Add something to introduce PLDT like "telecommunications company PLDT"
Added
  • Ref 2 from PLDT has some interesting promotional aspects of the partnership which aren't mentioned
I don't think it'll add value to include giving away free or complimentary tickets or etc, from sponsors. Concert/Tours generally do not incorporate such.
  • "songs she will perform" -> change "will" to would.
Done
  • "...production, while Audie Gemora,..." would it make sense to add singers or performers after "while"?
Done
  • Ref 9. Could you elaborate on this a bit? I'm not sure that mentioning it aired with an unverifiable ref like this would work. There is likely some article or at least a specific date out there.
Unfortunately, sourcing or citations within the Philippines are a bit of a challenge, even for recent ones. I've made this approach to another GA of her concert (Twenty (concert) as well.
  • I couldn't find the "two years earlier" in refs 4 or 5.
It's mentioned in ref 5: This concert series (which was conceptualized two years ago)
  • Quote checks out. Clever way of using it while avoiding the Tagalog that was sprinkled into the original.

Synopsis and reception

[edit]
  • change to a piano?
Done
  • "alternately mashed" <- I'm not sure what this means
I've linked to Mashup (music) to provide context
  • Change "the next act" to "the second act". I'd also recommend opening this section with the fact that it was a two act show. You mention it in the lead, but don't say that elsewhere.
Done
  • Bunoan quote checks out in ref 10
  • What about the special guests? When did they perform?
Gemora appeared in all shows, Santos and Viray alternated in both weekends. Added note in the "Shows" section

Set list

[edit]
  • If the set list varied a little bit, I think that needs to be mentioned in the synopsis as well.
Added

Shows

[edit]
  • All good here

Other GA criteria

[edit]
  • Images good
  • Ref spot checks listed above
  • Earwigs copyvio at 37% (unlikely vio), but it just flagged properly-attributed quotes.

Discussion

Hi @Pseud 14: this looks good. Only minor issues to take a look at. Grk1011 (talk) 14:54, 26 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
