Greek?

[edit]

Beside the obvious, is there an actual good source that says he's Greek? (and I don't mean IMDB) JackO'Lantern 06:56, 7 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Not much info on him anywhere. But Karvelas is a very common Greek name.MrBlondNYC 08:53, 7 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I know... but we can't really list based on last name.... JackO'Lantern 17:31, 7 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Its usually unlikely that if a person has a Greek last name, he/she are not of Greek origins. Karvelas was of Irish(mother) and Greek(father) descent and he had a twin brother. His relation to Don Adams was through his mother's side of the family. The Karvelas family lived in Charleroi, Pennsylvania. The three served together in the Marines. Much thanks Mallaccaos for the great info. MrBlondNYC 09:10, 15 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Get Smart reference--should it be a quote?

[edit]

About his role as Larrabee on Get Smart, the article says, "In one episode, Smart tells the Chief, "People ask if Larrabee and I are related." The quotes are in the article.

I don't think that's a direct quote. If I remember, the exchange ran along these lines. Maxwell Smart made some remark to the Chief about how dumb Larrabee was, and the Chief asked Max if there was any chance that Max and Larrabee might be related. Max said something to the effect of, you know Chief, a lot of people have asked me that.

Unless someone gets a definitive quotation, I think the point should be restated without the quotation marks. 140.147.160.78 (talk) 19:54, 17 December 2007 (UTC)Stephen Kosciesza[reply]
