Could someone please explain further the issues with the sources and notability? The comment left by @WikiOriginal-9 stated that there is not enough coverage from independent sources, however, the finding aid to his archival papers, his biography with his oral history project (although his oral history itself is a primary source, it can be verified by other secondary sources), his biography on the Waterfront Workers Oral History Project, and his biography on Densho all are secondary sources that I believe meet the Wikipedia reliability guidelines. In addition, I believe Magden meets at least two of the Wikipedia notability criteria for academics (his work has had a significant impact on his discipline, in this case labor history; and he has had a substantial impact outside academia, in this case on the Port of Tacoma and the International Longshore and Warehouse Union). I have added additional references to this draft to further reinforce it. I would appreciate further guidance in how this article could be improved so it can pass review.
