Article state
[edit]Whoever wrote this article ought to be ashamed of themselves. I know nothing about Skerrit's career, but you must know you can't use Wikipedia to publish unsourced defamtaory material such as this article mainly consisted of. Intelligent Mr Toad (talk) 10:31, 30 January 2010 (UTC)
- I've reverted to a sourced, neutral version prior to the work done by a new editor through January. Further violations will result in blocks. Tony Fox (arf!) 17:14, 1 February 2010 (UTC)
- Seems like this keeps happening, and from similar IPs. I've recently reverted back to the last "wiki-appropriate" version, but the same text dump keeps getting put in. Apologies for flooding the revision history with my quick-draw reverts. Amit ► 20:06, 26 August 2010 (UTC)
- September 2010, same text-dump was added back to the article. The entire text was unsourced, and since this is the same text that keeps getting added (albeit from different anonymous IP users), my gut reaction is that it is blatant copyright violation, which according to Wikipedia policy, should be reverted immediately. I have done so. Please either source the material that is trying to be added (and if you get a chance, Wiki-fy the style), or refrain from adding copyrighted material in the future. Thanks! I went through linking this page to other articles in Wikipedia but as I read though I began thinking that this was an essay or someone just copied an article from somewhere else and added it to Wikipedia. I would rewrite the article but time is against me. Someone please fix this. This article seemed biased. Sources modified on Roosevelt Skerrit
[edit]Hello fellow Wikipedians,
I have just attempted to maintain the sources on Roosevelt Skerrit. I managed to add archive links to 4 sources, out of the total 4 I modified, whiling tagging 0 as dead.
Please take a moment to review my changes to verify that the change is accurate and correct. If it isn't, please modify it accordingly and if necessary tag that source with {{cbignore}}
to keep Cyberbot from modifying it any further. Alternatively, you can also add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}}
to keep me off the page's sources altogether. Let other users know that you have reviewed my edit by leaving a comment on this post.
Below, I have included a list of modifications I've made:
- Added archive http://web.archive.org/web/20110303224355/http://dominicanewsonline.com:80/dno/breaking-news-roosevelt-skerrit-no-longer-french/ to http://dominicanewsonline.com/dno/breaking-news-roosevelt-skerrit-no-longer-french/
- Added archive http://web.archive.org/web/20131021234303/http://www.rooseveltskerrit.org/ to http://www.rooseveltskerrit.org
- Added archive http://web.archive.org/web/20141024020029/http://www.economist.com/node/13768417 to http://www.economist.com/node/13768417

Copyright problem removed
[edit]Prior content in this article duplicated one or more previously published sources. Copied or closely paraphrased material has been rewritten or removed and must not be restored, unless it is duly released under a compatible license. (For more information, please see "using copyrighted works from others" if you are not the copyright holder of this material, or "donating copyrighted materials" if you are.)
For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or published material; such additions will be deleted. The material may also be rewritten, providing it does not infringe on the copyright of the original or plagiarize from that source. Therefore, such paraphrased portions must provide their source. Please see our guideline on non-free text for how to properly implement limited quotations of copyrighted text. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. While we appreciate contributions, we must require all contributors to understand and comply with these policies. Thank you. Diannaa (talk) 14:46, 12 July 2015 (UTC)
