Spelling[edit]

Regarding Jagvar's spelling reverts on 4 September, 2005, I believe that the changes I made were correct according to Wikipedia policies outlined in Wikipedia:Manual of Style (spelling) and National varities of English based upon the location of the construction of the ship (Port Arthur) and the fire (Toronto). --Grmagne 18:33, 6 September 2005 (UTC)

Sorry if there was any confusion. I reverted those edits before because I was using the Oxford English Dictionary as a guide. However, since your changes are in accordance with the Wikipedia manual of style, I will not dispute them. Thanks for checking on that. Jagvar 00:00, 7 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

'Hamonic' or 'Harmonic'?

Source I can't access[edit]

If anyone can get access to the book Great Lakes passenger ship disasters, by Wayne Louis Kadar, on page 78 it most likely contains the information needed to remove the Citation Needed tag about Cyril Cole. I cannot get more than a snippet, so I cannot say for certain. Howicus (Did I mess up?) 21:13, 1 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Sources I haven't used (yet)[edit]

Here's some decent sources I have not yet found a place for:

Hamonic fatalities...[edit]

The article currently says the fire on the Hamonic had one fatality. My sources say no casualties. Geo Swan (talk) 16:31, 20 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

One crewman from Harmonic drowned, there were no passenger deaths. http://images.maritimehistoryofthegreatlakes.ca/7542/data Dougmcdonell (talk) 17:10, 31 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Can we remove More Citations Needed?[edit]

more citations needed tagged since 2012 -- article has 19 cites, seems reasonable off hand -- is it possible we could flag the specific items we are worried about, and remove the flag on the entire article?Feldercarb (talk) 22:31, 2 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

A Series of Disasters[edit]

The history of the SS Noronic seems to be marked by its connection to a series of disasters.W W (talk) 07:38, 31 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
