Disambiguation

[edit]

We also have articles on Sarah Green (film producer) and Sarah Franscesca Green who is commonly known as just Sarah Green (that article should probably be moved to Sarah Green (anthropologist)). None of them strikes me as so much more important than the others that she could be considered the primary topic. Thus I'd propose moving this article to Sarah Green (author) and to turn Sarah Green into a disambiguation page. Huon (talk) 03:38, 18 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I would support this, and I would further suggest a strong likelihood of somebody typing "Sarah Green" into the search box to actually want Sarah Greene, who by presenting Blue Peter and other BBC television programmes became a household name to an entire generation of British children, but hasn't made as many notable appearances since the early 1990s. This article currently has a disambiguation hatnote pointing to Sarah Greene, and the disambiguation page should also list her, probably in a "See also" section. Huon (talk) 08:38, 18 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I do not know what exactly disambiguation means but I totally agree that we should move the article to [Sarah Green (anthropologist)]]); Could you please do this for me? Thanks in advanceCissy theo (talk) 12:30, 18 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Done. A disambiguation page is one that just has links to various similarly-named articles a reader might be looking for; take for example John Miller. Since we have articles on three different persons named "Sarah Green", with none of them so much more important than the others, that's what I propose turning this article into, so that readers looking up "Sarah Green" will be presented with the list of articles they may be interested in (including Sarah Greene in case they spelled her wrong) instead of all being pointed towards the author. Removed templates

[edit]

This article had citation and source templates; I just removed them after doing some reworking (and adding of sources and citations.) Any issues, please sing out! — scribblingwoman 01:41, 20 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
