The list should also include the American and other English language song lists as this is the English language wiki. Sincerely, --Le Grand Roi des CitrouillesTally-ho! 03:55, 29 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

adding the US playlists.... although i don't quite know how to format the table cells, so i put the US playlists on separate table rows from the UK lists, (so there are now two rows for Singstar 80s and Singstar pop) - someone feel free to place the US lists in the same cell as the UK lists, but not merge the lists themselves Jawajames (talk) 17:51, 30 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I think the Track listings for the Australian versions should have their own entried rather than using the "Australian hits only:" method. This is because some of the songs the songs that are in the UK version are not in the Australian version and the way it is at the moment there's no indication of which ones are left out.

I've gone through and added the track lists for all the Australian versions that I could find now. 220.244.10.250 (talk) 13:17, 24 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ideally, there should be a track listing for each different release and the SCES/SCUS number should be included for clarity too. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 220.244.10.250 (talk) 11:08, 21 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with Le Grand Roi Des Citrouilles. The earlier version of SingStar wikipedia's pages were more complet and a reference site to track lists, which it's the most interesant of the games. It also was more easy access and find any SingStar game or information refered to them than in this page where all is "written followed". Sorry, my english is not perfect. --88.1.35.255 (talk) 16:27, 30 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I think that there should be seperate articles for each country that has SingStar games. That way, you could have only tracklists, release dates, and cover art for that countrie's releases. I live in the USA and it really pisses me off that only the UK tracklists are on the page (Except for Amp'd). —Preceding unsigned comment added by Rockstarbud (talkcontribs) 00:22, 1 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Spanish SingStar article has an structure with tables that it doesn't show if you don't push the bottom placed on the right: [1]. The tracklist could be show in this format and they wouldn't occupy much. --83.55.39.220 (talk) 18:13, 3 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I previously proposed a method like this here. Right now though I've been talking with Le Grand Roi des Citrouilles, and I'm working on an article to go at List of songs in the SingStar series. It's just taking a long time to prepare because a) I'm busy and b) there's a lot of work that has to be done with tables.

New US Games

[edit]

Pop Volume 2, Legends, and Country are coming out soon. I think someone needs to put them up on the page. The only confirmed songs for Pop Vol. 2 are Umbrella, Boyfriend, and Makes me Wonder. The proof is on Amazon.com. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.205.228.79 (talk) 22:21, 24 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

SingStar Hottest Hits (Australia)

[edit]

BigW has it advertised for release on 18 Sept 2008. I don't know what content is unique to AUS, or if it's called something else in other regions.

Pop Vol. 2

[edit]

When is someone going to add this game? It's coming out in a couple of weeks! The confirmed songs so far are: Umbrella Boyfriend Makes Me Wonder My Happy Ending Big Girls Don't Cry Who Knew Thanks for the Memories Littlest Things Promiscuous (feat. Timbaland)

Okay it came out today, and nobody has posted it EVEN THOUGH THE TRACK LIST HAS BEEN ONLINE FOR WEEKS! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.205.228.79 (talk) 11:30, 23 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Cripes, can this article get any longer? Why don't we make it in 400 point bold italic Verdana, so that it'll crash every browser on the planet? Ten Pound Hammer, his otters and a clue-bat • (Many ottersOne batOne hammer) 00:45, 31 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Redesign

[edit]

This was two years in the making, but I finally remade the article as discussed at the top of this talk page. Now it features sortable tables that group localised languages together. I chose to sort titles in alphabetical order rather than chronologically because of the large number of items (it would be difficult to find specific titles otherwise).

I know the article is very long. WP:SIZE and WP:SPLIT recommend splitting an article if it is >100kb (current size is 212kb), but this criteria applies less strictly to lists anyway. The PlayStation 2 track lists could be split into two articles (A-L and M-Z) if we have to, but the WP:SIZE guideline suggests to "[a]void arbitrarily splitting mainspace articles unless there is a demonstrated technical problem loading the page on at least one major browser".

Current stuff that still needs to be done: - Reference every single tracklist (most of these can be done using the official website catalogues) - Wikilink artists and song titles - Implement correct song title capitalisation in accordance with WP:CAPITAL (will involve different capitalisation schemes for each language) - Redesign the PlayStation 3 article in the same way I did the PlayStation 2 article.

In the process of this redesign I removed some of the previous information (release date, alternate titles, PEGI/ESRB/OFLC ratings) which were of use. I'd be happy to see a new List of SingStar titles article to cover that kind of info, while leaving the full track lists here and at List of songs in SingStar games (PlayStation 3).

Singstar Amped (Australian version)

[edit]

"4 Non Blondes - What's Up" is missing from the tracklisting for Amped.

Not sure if this is featured on other versions. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 202.146.6.254 (talk) 01:31, 13 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Shortening this article.

[edit]

Hi guys,

I think the main reason that this article was too long was that two thirds of it consisted of SingStar releases that weren't even in English.

Keep in mind that this is "en.wikipedia.org"; it doesn't generally cover media that aren't written/spoken in English (unless the media has been subsequently translated into English, such as The Neverending Story, and even then, it's mentioned in the article that covers the English version.

It seems that being one of the most visited versions of Wikipedia, the English subdomain often gets used as a sort of "catch-all" repository for large categories of information. I think that this is what happened here.

Further work needs to be done, such as removing columns for languages other than UK, US, and AU. I'll try to get that done soon.
