Can banner be removed?

[edit]

This is not an article I began, but today I added a number of outside links, plus restructured the article. While the article can certainly use more work to make it more substantive, I wonder if it is good enough to have the banner removed that notes it does not meet wikipedia standards, and must be "wikified" through additional external links? (I did not know if I could remove that banner myself, or if it needs to be removed by the editor who put it there.) NearTheZoo (talk) 22:46, 17 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Didn't get any answers to this note -- or the one I posted on the discussion page of the editor I THINK originally added the banners regarding wikifying this page and adding additional info from the Hebrew site, so I just went ahead and deleted the banners. I think the page has been expanded enough so that the banners no longer apply. I hope whoever originally put the banners there agrees! NearTheZoo (talk) 01:35, 21 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, been a bit busy. Thank you for contacting me about the banners and thank you for the excellent work you did on the article. I agree regarding the wikify banner. Is there a downside to leaving the translate one up for a while longer? Your call. Joe407 (talk) 04:06, 21 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks!!! I watched the first season on DVDs (in the US) and got hooked! It's a great show! Since you left the decision about the translation banner to me, I'll keep it off for now -- but go back to the Hebrew page when I get a chance (soon, I hope) and see what other material I can glean. But I like to see banners gone when an article can "stand on its own" -- and I think it can. (By the way, since you like TV, I also created a page on "A Touch Away (TV"), an Israeli mini-series that HBO has purchased and plans to use as the basis for their own version.) Thanks for this note -- and for starting the article!!! NearTheZoo (talk) 11:32, 21 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

is zionist the correct label?

[edit]

I watched a good portion of this show and saw sexual and religious conversations. Minimal political or Palestinian references. I think religious Jewish (a spritual state) and not Zionist (a political ideological state) is the correct adjective. I'm not going switch it to have someone just switch it back because they don't like Israel. 47.20.120.77 (talk) 01:31, 8 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

My thoughts exactly. They keep reiterating Zionist in the article but that’s typical of Wikipedia authors. Probably using the word in a hidden derogatory way. 71.125.255.77 (talk) 12:26, 16 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
