Rename the page: Stage Front Stadium

[edit]

Following the sponsorship agreement reached for the naming rights between RCD Espanyol de Barcelona and the North American company Stage Front, the RCDE Stadium is renamed as Stage Front Stadium.

Stage Front StadiumCornellà - El Prat Stadium – It makes no sense to have this article named under a temporary name due to sponsorship reasons, unlike every other article about Spanish stadiums. The article for the FC Barcelona stadium is Camp Nou (not Spotify Camp Nou), the article for Real Sociedad stadium is Anoeta Stadium (not Reale Arena), the article for Atlético de Madrid stadium is Metropolitano Stadium (not Civitas Metropolitano), and so on. 83.42.191.26 (talk) 16:50, 24 November 2023 (UTC) — Relisting. BegbertBiggs (talk) 23:58, 2 December 2023 (UTC) — Relisting. BilledMammal (talk) 02:58, 10 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

It should not be changed because there is no clear policy on wikipedia on this matter. Both criteria are valid. Some examples that demonstrate this are Bank of America Stadium, Gillette Stadium, FedExField, MetLife Stadium, SoFi Stadium, MHPArena, Red Bull Arena (Leipzig), Allianz Arena or Emirates Stadium.--Medol (talk) 10:12, 29 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Plenty of RM consensus. GiantSnowman 21:32, 29 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose. OP has presented no evidence that "Cornellà - El Prat Stadium" is the more commonly-used name. There is no policy-based reason not to use a sponsored name. 162 etc. (talk) 16:26, 29 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose. Unlike Camp Nou, Anoeta, Metropolitano, the stadium has always had a sponsored name. Estadi Cornellà-El Prat was only used because there was no sponsor available at the time of opening and borrowed from its location. La Fuzion (K lo K) 20:41, 5 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Relisting comment: Relist; evidence of what the WP:COMMONNAME is would be helpful in determining consensus BilledMammal (talk) 02:58, 10 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
