I think the term "unintelligent" is not quite right to describe the Pakleds. They have intelligence - they're spacefaring, but they're also stupid - they blow up their own planet to test their Veruvian bomb. Additionally, I don't think we need worry about using "kinder" words to describe a fictional alien species...
@Chaheel Riens: I'm the one who reverted to "unintelligent", but only because stupid sounds to me like a school-yard insult rather than an assessment of intelligence. I've never met a Pakled or even seen any of the recent Star Trek productions, so I am no expert. Could it be said that they consistently make poor decisions? Science fiction is usually a reflection on society; I consider humans intelligent, but they've come awfully close to blowing up their own planet several times. I think you need to watch Lower Decks to comment in this instance. If you haven't actually seen the episode you're editing, how can you comment with authority? The Pakleds are stupid by any definition, more so in Lower Decks than in other ST incarnations - witness their behaviour in "No Small Parts", "The Spy Humongous" and "wej Duj". Sorry that I didn't see this sooner, but I disagree with this change. "unintelligent" and "stupid" are synonyms but one is appropriate for an encyclopaedia and the other is not. Adding "space-faring" to this sentence is redundant because we are already talking about aliens doing stuff in space. - adamstom97 (talk) 21:14, 21 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
