Requested move 10 November 2017

[edit]
The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.

The result of the move request was: Moved as uncontroversial move to the correct title. The article may need to go to AfD, but that is another issue. — Insertcleverphrasehere (or here) 02:47, 11 November 2017 (UTC) — Insertcleverphrasehere (or here) 02:47, 11 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Star Wars Episode IXStar Wars: Episode IX – There must be a colon between Star Wars and Episode IX. AdamDeanHall (talk) 21:27, 10 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@AdamDeanHall: Is this meant to be controversial? Uncontroversial moves can be requested at WP:RM/TR. -- Emir of Wikipedia (talk) 22:26, 10 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Also how this article pass WP:NFF, as it has not started principal photography? Emir of Wikipedia (talk) 22:29, 10 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
It won't pass NFF until June 2018, and there's unlikely to be a lot of info before then since there will be campaigns for The Last Jedi and Solo until then. If it weren't for the page move request, it'd be a straightforward redirect back to to Star_Wars_sequel_trilogy#Episode_IX. Perhaps it still should be, then Star Wars: Episode IX can just redirect there too. ~Hydronium~Hydroxide~(Talk)~ 01:39, 11 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
It doesn't really need to pass NFF as the film notability guideline is below WP:GNG. Information about the chosen director, actors signed on, etc should be enough to meet WP:GNG. In any case, motions for deletion can be made via an AfD. However, as for moving the article; I'm pretty sure this in uncontroversial, so I'll just make the move and close this. — Insertcleverphrasehere (or here) 02:38, 11 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Why does this have a page already?

[edit]

Isn't the general rule for films that a page will only be made once production has begin?--118.107.129.3 (talk) 11:22, 25 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Yes. See WP:NFF. This should remain as a redirect until filming begins. --woodensuperman 12:42, 28 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
The film has now started filming as of today. Have attempted moving the draft here, but it states there is already a page. Someone else can deal with it. I don't wanna deal with the mess that all the fanboys have made by creating a page, when there is currently only a draft made.--DisneyMetalhead (talk) 18:53, 1 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
